One of my top three favorite images I've done for this contest.... This one is #2. Number one is the one I did of Vee surfing 'the net'. *giggles*

Only a few more days left of this contest... Well.. I'll only be doing two more entries for it, but.. meh. Probably won't post them here... Meeh.. Okay.. Why not. hehe. I'm finished with the "goodbye" picture...

I attempted to fit all of the people involved in the Scary Camp contest that actually submitted 5 or more days throughout the month. For those who did four and under, I didn't bother...  I kinda wanted to do a little something that would get a lot of.. "oomph" and say "Thank you" to all of the incredibly nice people I've met over the month while participating in this little contest. :)

Now.... I have some qualms about that... But.. considering:

a) I'm kinda tired of drawing Vee right now
b) She's hosting the contest. So it's her rules if I want to win what she's giving away

....I'll do it. 

I can understand "Draw a scene include yours and my OC...." but... just a flat out picture... Seems kind of.... Hmm...

Just my thoughts, but no matter! :D

I'm not even looking for the doll.... I'm kinda hopin' my buddy Siobhan wins the doll. I know she would probably really get a kick out of it.

Silver Guradian Can Save Me Any Day!

 

A few weeks ago my sweetie asked if I would be so kind as to make him a set of patch-like-thingies (badges? I dunno what to call them!) for his Silver Guardain costume that he plans on wearing to Morphicon next month. 

So i ended up making these for him. 

They're soft and really flexible (made from that fun-foam) stuff... and I affixed a couple of pin backs to them so he can pin them in place later on.

Man.... I'm so hoping it looks alright once he pins them on. :3

Evil Space Ninja GO!

Maaan. Convention fever is pouring onto me hard.  I keep finding myself even more excited as time passes. SOON!

And to make it even better?! They announced that Reggie and Amy Rolle (That's Damon and Trekkina from Lost Galaxy for the non Ranger savvy. xD) are gunna be there!

EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! MY FAAAVORITE green ranger!! (well one of my three... four?) But OMG I'm so excited! I've always wanted to meet/see them in person. So this will certainly be an added treat. :D

I've been meaning to post these up for a good minute.... I had them in my camera for a few days and just couldn't get around to posting them up like how I wanted until.. well.. now. xD

Nearing Completeion!

Yuup that's riiight! My Marah costume is becoming more and more complete--! I've been working out all of the tiny details and... OMG--!

Time is creeping up real fast here!

Beeeest Friends

So.. the start of today was... pretty... lame to say the least. I was still all bent out of shape because of Rudy's announcement... For the whole part of the morning I figured I would try to get my mind off of things and attempt to do a Scary Camp entry.... So.. I did...

 As I was working on this I kept thinkin' about Rudy cuz he's like my bestest buddy... and here Vee's bestest buddy is Sparta.... It kept making me so sad.... We ended up doing laundry today so we were gone for most of the day... but while I was out... Rudy called me to tell me that he wasn't moving afterall!

So... there's that! :D I'm not losin' one of my bestest buddies afterall! *dances!*

I cannot tell you how super relieved I am! Woooo man!

I got back so late and only had about an hour to turn in my Scary Camp entry from the day.. so I quickly colored it and just submitted it... That particular entry was for Day 16-- Best Friend/Summer Love...

I still need to draw one of the participants by the name of Chess (a werecat character OC).... but I got the news of Rudy's moving on the 15th which was the day i ended up skipping....  I wasn't planning on all of that happening.. so I need to figure a way to squeeze her character into one of my pictures... and soon...

What a day today ended up being...

Probably the worst day that I've had....

Man... I feel so.. sad and... depressed and.. arugh--! Like I was sucked into a black hole.. or something to that effect. 

Late last night Rudy came over to tell me that he was moving... He's told me one other time before and I had a similar reaction but this time when he said it it just had more validity than before.

He's like my bestest buddy that lives within walking distance! (2 Minutes to be exact!)... And we're pretty close... He's like... another ME.. but.. SUPER super into anime. He draws wif me, talks wif me all the time, cosplays, is into comics and anime and has the same thought processes as I do... (sometimes).... but yeah--! And it just generally feels weird if I go more than a few days without hanging out with him.... It's.. weird.

Man... I have to say I've never been so down and depressed EVER before. It just feels like a whole piece of me has been sucked out from me... and... I don't care about anything. Nothing is making me smile....  nothing is bringing me out of this.

Stupid day....

Hacking--!

Yup... Gotta love my puns.. I'm getting pretty cleaver with these, I have to admit! *snickers*

Day 14--! Hacking! The theme for the day was "You and Scary Camp Nature" so.. Vee decided to take to nature by the horns and... hack...............some wood! Muahaha!

Hmm.. yeah.. it seems that as I'm watching the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place entries get pulled.. I'm starting to get annoyed.

I mean, I really don't mind pulling other images from this little contest if an idea is good.. but if there's no idea, plus the drawing is basically a SCRIBBLE... and I do something like... Well.. the stuff I've been doing and stuff doesn't get recognized on that level!?

OMG... Talk about fustrating!

I mean, I did only enter this contest for the fun of it... And i really don't care about winning any type of prize... but for the judging!? OMG.. c'mon! My stuff is *clearly* better.... there are also other people's stuff who is CLEARLY better than some of the entries pulled. I think that they're just pulling things so they will be "nice" and include everyone. it's supposed to be a CONTEST based on concept, ability, and creativity.

It just.... ARUGH. :|

It kind of makes me want to host my own contest.... So i can judge it and have it be a REAL contest, damnit. :P

Surf the Net

So.. This was for Day 13-- where we had to choose any sport... And I figured.. well SURFING the Net was something Vee loved to do! And plus?? 'Nother Pun!! :D

I have to admit, that THIS one is my absolute favorite picture that I've done, next to the picture of Vee all floating within her data stream.

I had to place her in Oracle's cybernetic bodysuit. Considering Vee IS my "daughter", it's only right she shows up wearing my suit!

I.. really should make this into a wallpaper or something... I really do love this image... The pose, the concept-- just.. everything. I really blew myself away with this one...

Fencing--Daaay 12!

I have to admit that... with this contest.. I think I'm going to slow down substantially...  I really love participating within it, but man... it's getting hard to produce the types of images I really want to produce within the time span...

Plus... some days it feels like my hand is about to fall off... >.<

Anyway....

Fishing or Fencing was choice for today...

And considering I have too many puns up my sleeve..... I chose fencing!

Vee: *snatches paper and bolts, super excited* FENCING--!!!!! *gets to work building a fence around the border of Scary Camp*

Layla: *walks up after some time* Um... Vee?

Vee: *hammers!* Hi Layla!! You like my fence??!

Layla: Um... Vee...? We're supposed to be fencing... you know.. with the sword thingy?
Vee: *stops hammering*

This.. is Day 9... Arts and Crafts.
Hhehe. Man oh MAN.. I love the way this one came out. I really did this to muse my boyfriend, Chris. I really thought he would get a kick out of this one...

Today was a LONG.. *long* day... Extreme broken sleep over a 3 hour period... I think tonight will be an early night...

Ghoul's Rule!!!

I cannot BELIEVE it--!!

I ended up going to Toys R Us to see if they happened to get any new dolls in on their shipment and OMG--! I lucked out!!

I found the entire Ghoul's Rule line! Frankie, Lala, Cleo, and Clawdeen were there! I saw Frankie first so I grabbed her.. because she was one of the ones I wanted... but... I started looking in the hopes of finding Clawdeen. because she was the one I really wanted (I love my Clawdeen!!) and THERE she was, pushed way in the back, with a slightly damaged box-- I was happy.. So I grabbed her--!

Muahahahaha! I cannot believe I found her.... or any dolls really!

I also found a Roller Maze Ghoulia at K-Mart later that same day.. but since I really only want Lagoona and Frankie from that line, I put her back for someone else to grab. Plus... I don't have the added money right now.. Got to save everything for Morphicon next month.

OMG-- Morphicon! *bounces around all excited!*

Anyway.... about Clawdeen.. She's.. one INSANE looking doll! She's got a faux-hawk of really soft curls flowing all the way down her back.. and her outfit is to die for. The black fur is *REALLY* fluffy and is very....  unforgiving by the way it won't let the doll's arm bend very easily.. It's kind of a pain actually. But it really does look neat!

When I pulled her out of her box, I was hoping the mask she came with would stay on her face, but.. it won't.. it's really just an accent piece... and the plastic that it's made of is really flexible. Which is great... because a little bit of durability is a nice thing.

Heh.. though with me, I take any plastic bits the dolls come with and throw them in my Monster High Trunk with all the other accessories that I've accumulated from all of the dolls that I have.

I'm going to need a new trunk here soon...

My hand is DEAD

The past two days....  Day 8 (writing home) and Day 9 (New Camp Friends) had.. just DONE it. Well.. Actually Day 9 was really bad... I really shouldn't have done so many bodies in a picture...  Did so many i forgot to draw in Vee's arm panel too... Oh well.. maybe I'll fix that... Heh!

I really loved how Day 8 Came out.. The letter in the background, I thought just added to the icing on the cake. Added in some comic references to Dinah, Arrow and Charlie there.. just because I couldn't resist. hehe. After all, Vee IS Oracle's little creation. It would only be right that she's aware of the other BoP members.... ;)

Considering my hand has just about gone and fallen off, I've also come to the realization that... I won't be participating in every challenge... and I will try to keep things a bit more simple if I do... I'm not really looking for the top prize of a Skull Shores Ghoulia doll (I already have one).. but rather.. to better myself and have fun with it. And if I'm burning myself out and creating lots of firey pain in my wrist...? It's not really worth it...  I'll probably only participate on the days left that I really wish to or have the desire for.

I'm totally resting tomorrow... And yeah. Not going to work on anything...

Scary Camp Day 6 & 7-- Paintball & Drama

Sparta and Vee playing Paintball! The choice here was between archery and paintball. Heh.. For me... considering I can't draw a bow... (the reason why I never draw any Green Arrow or Arrow-dom fan pieces....) Paintball worked well! 

I had a lot of fun with the background with this one...I must say-- those are some of the purdiest trees I've ever painted. *giggles*  My hands are slowly starting to betray me with each one of these pieces... I know I'm not going to do every day of this challenege... but at least for the days.. I'm getting a kick out of it!

I really went out on a limp for this one. The choice was between drama or tennis for this one... I chose drama.. just because it was an excuse for me to practice some extreme posing and... just add some dynamic qualities to my array of entries. So i choose Cats! One of my favorite musicals. I have to say I am *incredibly* proud of the way this one came out. The HANDS, the poses.. the way they're... just... POSED in general... I probably could have made this way more spectacular if I had more than a day to work on this... 

Not to mention I SO sick.... I had to do this in pieces, in between naps throughout the day...

I dressed Vee as Mr. Mistoffelees (my fav!), Athene as Macavity, and Sparta as Rum Tum Tugger.

Scary Camp Day 5-- Scary Camp Meal!

I've started keeping a bit of a journal for Vee as of late! I kind of did a mass of entries to get her caught up and what have you to keep things all correlated with the days of Scary Camp. I figure with this.. I can have a random character outlet to RP with and everything else. Kinda makes me miss my character LiveJournal RPs that I had going on way back when...

I figured I'd probably just start cross posting entries between here and there but.. Meh... I'll just continue to pimp it out. Heh!

So... today when I woke up, I logged onto check onto the contest and I realized that someone had the NERVE to steal a piece of my art! A background, to be specific. it was from a late contestant that decided to enter the Scary Camp Contest. granted they mentioned that they "stole" it and had a link to me.... I *never* recieved any kind of note or anything from the person saying "Oh hey--! I used your backgournd HERE. I hope that's okay!" or anything like that.

I'm generally a pretty easy going person and I don't mind helping others out from time to time, but you do NOT go and do that! I don't care WHO you are. You *ASK* permission first!!

I figured that the person who did it was SMALL and I recognized the name too.. So I tried to be polite about it and told them: "I'm usually pretty okay with others using certain elements of my art. And I don't mind at all! But next time can you but like... drop me a note just saying "Hey I used your background (here) I hope you don't mind!" or asking next time please? :3 That way I don't freak out or something."

This person responded to all other comments that I wrote on their stuff.... but didn't even bother responding to that particular message.

Anyway.. Today's entry was Sparta and Vee eating something yummy... well.. at least for them ^^;

  Update: I don't know WHY this one didn't place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd for the day. I mean.. COME ON!!!! It was way better than some entries. >.<

Scary Camp Day 4-- Swimming!

Data Stream

This one took me WAY longer than i anticipated.. ALL because of her hair!! OH my GOSH what a pain! I think I tried fixing her hair for.. like 3 or 4 hours.. just trying to figure a good way to ink it...  Tried a really intruicate method that didn't work and looked sloppy, tried something else that didn't work, and finally I just settled on this... Not really what i wanted, but I was running out of time.

Considering Vee doesn't really work too well with water (it's not in her programming just yet. I'm working on it!) she couldn't exactly "swim." But she can float and "air swim" or.. something to that effect.

*giggles*

I really got to stop making these images way harder than what they need to be.. I need to do my quick and dirty methods of inking and coloring..  especially on certain days I have too much going on.. I'm finding that 1 picture a day is very tiring.. and my hand is hurting so bad. :|

Tomorrow's image will be simple... little or no background...

When i checked my messages this morning, I was greeted with a surprise!

It's Sparta and Vee!! (Vee's MH OC friend!) Siobhan was sooo kind enough to draw Vee and Sparta together in today's entry. Which was sooo sweet of her! i seriously LOVE this!!

Eee! And she was the very first person ever to draw my Vee! *giggles* how exciting!! :D

I'm workin' on another image of Sparta and Vee myself... hopefully i can get it done... time permitting. 

Hmm.. so apparently one of my submissions to a MH OC club on DA got declined. It wasn't in the wrong folder, it was't a main MH character. it was my OC... Posted to a GROUP for OCs.. and it was declined--!

WTF!??

Okay considering I've uploaded my pictures there once a day for the past few days shouldn't mean anything. That's why the club is there...  Lots of people submit things to the main MonsterHigh club on DA all the time... Stuff goes through there easily.

Kinda annoys me in that right...  You decline one of my pretty pictures I worked hard on.... and give me no reason why it was declined? :|

Scary Camp Day 3-- Biking

When Vee entered the Great Hall she took notice that the day's activity sheet gave the campers a choice! The choices? Horseback riding or biking!

Take a guess at what was chosen... 

Considering she wasn't able to aquire access to her Light Cycle (yes I'm crossing fandoms here. So!? xD), she had to construct a bike to her liking that she could ride around on the trails for the day.

Now.. on the construction of this picture, i have to say that for as simple as the background is... it took me forever to do.. *faints!* Only because I couldn't figure out how to make it work for this one.

Anyway...

Ended up going doll hunting today as well. I found a I <3 Fashion Abbey!! *bounces all kinds of excited*

I should have taken a picture of the box before I extracted her...  I'll have to take a picture of her later...

Upon Rudy's return trip from Anime Expo this year, he gifted me with an adorable Rarity hoodie from My Little Pony. And i just ADOOOORE it so much! I am soo going to be wearing the crap out of it when it gets cooler. Rarity is so one of my favorite ponies too! Well Pinkie Pie first, and then Rarity. ♥ 

Scary Camp Day 2-- Talent Fright

Day 2 of the activities down at Scary Camp are going incredibly well!

Today was the Talent Fright competetion... and Vee rocked it out with her amazing gymnastic routine.

 She apparently was such a hit that she made some new friends and gained quite a bit of a following.

Something that i really wasn't expecting.

At least 150 views, 18 favs....

And it hasn't even been up 24 hours. Which is niiice! I usually never watch the view counts on anything, I tend to just pop things up for my own amusement.. but I've been getting a *lot* of positive feedback about my entries, thus far... So.... yay!

But yes! Vee has her first MH OC friend... her name is Sparta and she's a robot. *giggles* I have a feeling between the two of them some epic little adventures will totally come about.

Sparta Mun and I have already decided to do some kind of collab or.. some kind of something together we thought would be fun. Though with this contest, I'm having to be careful to split my time... Gotta make sure I get these entries done.. Today's really kicked my ass... and I woke up really early today to attempt to get a better headstart on things....  Man.. tomorrow's image-- the base-- was pretty challenging. I think tomorrow and the 4th might be a little rough... but.. they don't call this a challenge for nothin'!

Hmm...

Interesting to watch blind manipulation and greed overcome someone. It's actually kind of sad...

And yet it ticks me off inside...
